Swanky Savannah

Savannah was our birthday destination. It was more than I expected! I stepped out of the car, put one foot on the pavement, and I fell in love.  It was beautiful.  The colors of the trees, the moss in the trees, the sound of horse feet clicking on the brick roads, and the sound of a cool breeze coming from the river and Tybee Island.  It was a great trip that I will always remember.  Savannah will always hold a special place in my heart.  It was our first "married" trip, and it was even better because we got to spend it with my sweet in-laws.  Dedee and Stuart are so much fun to be with.  Every time I go somewhere with them, it's an adventure-always fun! The highlight of our trip was the food. We ate at Mrs. Wilkes-by far the best food I have ever put in my mouth.  We waited in line for over an hour, but everyone reassured us it was well worth the wait.  You sit at a large table with other families and friends, and you pass the food to your right.  It felt like Thanksgiving with new friends.  I am never one to meet a stranger, so needless to say I kept the conversation going.  Here  is a small picture-it doesn't even cover 1/4 of the table. Yummmmmm

We spent the whole weekend shopping, taking carriage tours, scary ghost tours, and general sight seeing.  I had my camera in my hand at all times because I was snapping pictures every time I turned around.  Hunter was very patient and only complained once about the amount of pictures I was taking.  No one gets in the way of my photos! Here are some pictures from the weekend, but I will call them memories...Enjoy!
